Chance (formerly Green collared puppy)
Chance at 6 months old
Chance is doing wonderful! He is a very happy, playful, SMART puppy! We are in the middle of training with an amazing dog trainer who absolutely loves him. We also did some “puppy pre-school” which was so fun. He had only had one training session with our trainer and when we went to pre-school that weekend she called him up to the front of the class to do a series of commands, sit, down, sit, stand, down, stand, and he did them all. All the other “parents” in the class looked at me with their mouths dropped and asked “he really has only had one training session?” It was so fun! He was the tallest puppy in the class, he is all legs and has the cutest, big, black nose.
We had him neutered about 2 weeks ago and he weighed in at 40 lbs! The vet clinic loves him too! He is very spoiled, in fact when we picked him up after the surgery they told me that they knew how much I spoiled him and that I shouldn’t worry about him too much because he will bounce right back. They were right; you would never guess he had it done. The next day he was trying to run, jump and play like crazy. It was exhausting trying to keep him calm.
He is a very busy, curious puppy. We have learned quickly to keep things out of his reach, which is hard because he is so tall when he is on his hind legs! His favorite games are chase and keep-away. He loves when we chase him and if we are too busy he knows that if he grabs something he is not supposed to have, i.e. the t.v. remote, that we will run after him. He also love wrestling with Tyler , they play together every night. He also likes watching football with us on t.v. It is so funny to watch him watch t.v., he stays so focused on the games, it really is hilarious!
My parents absolutely love him and now my step-dad is asking for a laberdoodle! They have a Bichon Frise that my step-dad now calls his “mini-doodle”. They also have a 19 year old cat named Gabby. When we go to their house to visit we have to put Gabby away because she chases Chance! It is the funniest thing to see this 40 lb. dog being chased by a 7 lb. cat. He just gets too curious about her and gets too close so she runs him off.

Chance at One Year Old
Chance is now almost 63 lbs!
Chance is still wonderful, and a handful! He is definitely entering his adolescence and is very used to being spoiled. Tyler walks him every morning, I walk him every afternoon on my lunch break and then he gets a third long walk in the evenings with the both of us (sometimes a fourth if he is still really excited at night)! He has lots of toys but still prefers what he is not supposed to have, like my tooth brush! He goes to the dog park every weekend where he has lots of friends, and plays for at least an hour. He thinks all the dogs there are his friends and come just to play with him; he is also a favorite among the other “parents”. He is definitely not a dominant dog, but does not get pushed around either. He likes to spend time with each dog that comes and is the official greeter at the gate for new arrivals.
He has definitely become Tyler ’s shadow. When he was younger he followed me around and was my little buddy but now it is apparent he is Tyler ’s dog! They are the best of friends! Sometimes he even gets to go to work with Tyler , which Chance loves. He loves car rides!
I have told him that his real mommy and daddy are getting ready for more puppies and that he is going to be a big brother and he seems really excited for you all!
